Our Team

In loving memory of Doug, the founder of O’Rear & Associates, who passed away from Covid-19 in July of 2020.  He loved his work. His focus was a holistic one where the most important factor was to focus on the needs of the clients. As we move forward, we strive to continue this approach. 

Beth joined O’Rear & Associates in 2016 as an assistant to Doug O'Rear.  After he passed away she earned her license and is operating the business as an Investment Advisor Representative.  Her experience in both corporate environments and as a small business owner provides a depth of knowledge which has included inventory management, real estate investment companies (now known as REITs), retail management, IT system management and the travel industry.

Beth graduated from David Lipscomb University.

She loves animals, and spends her spare time making pottery and creating art.

After 20 years of traveling as a Regional Director for Hartford and Victory Capital Matthew decided to stop traveling and join our team. Matthew is FINRA Licensed Series 6, 63, 66 and Series 7; in addition Matthew is Licensed for Tennessee Life and Health.

Matthew and his wife, Tessa, are originally from Pennsylvania. They have lived in Nashville for over 17 years. His wife, Tessa, is a First Grade Teacher at Overbrook School. They have 3 children Rose Mary age 15, a sophomore at Saint Cecilia, Henry age 13, an 8^th grader at MBA and Louis age 10, a 4^th Grader at Overbrook School . They attend Mass at Saint Thomas and are members of The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville.  Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, keeping up with his children’s activities and Coaching at The Big Red Wrestling Club at MBA.

Matthew Studied at West Chester University Pennsylvania.
